How do i finish my furniture?

  1. Oil/Varnish combinations:
The easiest to use, flood on, wipe off in 10 to 15 minutes and continue to touch up as needed.

  2. Oil or Water based stain:
Your furniture can be stained any color utilizing a good brand of oil or water based stain. Paint it on, wipe it off and maintain as needed.

  3. Paint:
To paint cedar you must first use an acrylic water based primer followed by a water based acrylic enamel top coat. (if you do not use a primer, the cedar will always "bleed through" your top coat)

Why do we use Western Red Cedar?

All of our furniture is designed using select Western Red Cedar which is the finest outdoor building material available.

Western Red Cedar is light and the resin is poisonous to insects. It is also a species that is extremely high thermal factor. It also has 80% of the strength of oak and pound for pound stronger then steel.

Western Red Cedar is also an appearance grade wood. When properly coated with Sikkens Cetol or Tung Oil, the grains stand out providing high aesthetic appeal and long lasting durability - even under severe conditions.
